Camping stereotypes

There are five basic types of people who go camping:

1. Over-achievers with expensive gear and SUVs. They are cocooned in space-age materials which repel all dirt and moisture.

2. People who want to get drunk in the woods. This is a time-honored tradition amongst teenagers.

3. People who are cheap and/or poor, and who are willing to accept the existence of insects, precipitation, and dirt.

4. People with a yen for the outdoors.

5. People with fond childhood memories of camping. S'mores are definitely in the picture.

We're a medley of the last three, though we wouldn't eschew cool gear if we had the money for it.
